Green Crack

Strain Name: Green Crack

Grade: A

Type: Sativa

Looks: A+) Very nice buds. Lime green color with dark red/orange hairs, although the amount of Tri-Chromes really brings out the green.

Smell: A-) Quite the Fruity Smell with an Earthy undertone.

Taste: B+) I found it to be a very familiar “Fruit Loop” taste to the exhale. The inhale was a bit harsh inhibiting my ability to really taste the inhale

Effects: ?) Notorious for energy but as I found out the hard way, this strain had the opposite effect on me. I do take Rx Amphetamines for Adult ADHD which could explain such a reaction. Regardless of the reasoning, I was as lazy as they get.

Potency: A) Very potent

Description

Don’t let the name fool you: this is pure cannabis. Few strains compare to Green Crack’s sharp energy and focus as it induces an invigorating mental buzz that keeps you going throughout the day. With a tangy, fruity flavor redolent of mango, Green Crack is the perfect daytime medication for patients treating fatigue, stress, and depression.

Green Crack has branched into two genetic lineages, the most common of which is its sativa line descended from Skunk #1. The 75% indica variety of Green Crack is said to have come from an Afghani strain, and is marked by a tighter bud structure. Because its name perpetuates a negative image of cannabis, some people have taken to calling this strain Cush (with a ‘C’) or Green Cush instead.

Green Crack was originally bred in Athens, GA in the 1970s with the birth name of Cush. It was later renamed “Green Crack” by none other than Snoop Dogg because of its extreme potency and the crave to keep smoking it. Green Crack is extremely popular in Southern California with both medical marijuana patients for its strong sativa effects, and recreational users who love its sweet taste and happy high. Green Crack has a medium-green color punctuated with orange and bluish hairs. It has a tangy, fruity smell (thus the nickname “Mango”) and the taste is sweet as well. There are two strains of Green Crack: one that is almost pure Sativa and one that is 75% Indica. The better known phenom is the sativa dominant strain, and the only sign of indica genetics being present are the tight nugs.

“A very nice head high, the giggles are fantastic with this particular strain. Definitely a smoke for those who still want to do things as the body stone is quite light.” – JayFilth
